Well thanks so much for the reply Bob!.. I have just seen the result of a bad fire after a cooker hood ignited (fuelled by all the oil in the filter), so I was shocked to see this. However, I will say that when I last visited friends in Melrose, US, I was very impressed by how little oil was used in their cooking, so expect you guys are safer than in many other countries where hot woks and pans are raging with heat and oil.
