Use A Licensed and Local Plumber in Frankston For Toilet Repairs

Unless the toilet is an old model that requires special parts, or unless it needs to be replaced completely, most toilet repairs are basic fixes that should cost less than $200. While the toilets themselves don’t wear out, the working parts in the cistern can. Hopefully the toilet repairs are usually a quick fix from your local plumber in Frankston who can get the job done easily and affordably, even on the weekend.

DIY toilet repairs are not the wisest decision if you have an older toilet, a leak, or a possible issue with your pipes. Call a professional plumber to get it fixed the right way, straight away.

You can rest assured that the majority of toilet repairs are fast and relatively inexpensive when carried out by the expert plumbers at Frankston Plumbers.

Blocked Drains in Frankston

Blocked drains can cause major problems for plumbing, and often lead to expensive water leaks. The biggest reason is tree roots as they seek out water and head straight for your storm water drains.

On a smaller scale blocked drains in sinks are often the result of a build up of grease and grime trapped in the S bend.

Both of these examples can lead to not only hefty costs to repair but are a contributor to health problems if left for too long. Unpleasant odours and flooding are other side effects of blocked drains.

Let the professionals at Frankston Drains unblock your drains, both inside and out, and put your mind at ease.

Think seriously about replacing the old copper with new copper pipe. The cost alone would give you kittens. The price of copper has skyrocketed the last decade. Proof of this is all the hoons stealing copper from railway tracks and abandoned houses to sell to metal yards etc.

Secondly, unless you are qualified to install copper piping I would stay away. With all the gas welding required to join the lengths or put fittings like elbows etc in, it is a job for the professional plumber.

I can understand you wanting to save money on the project and the best advise I can give to to go with PVC pipes to replace the copper. Fittings simply glue together, easy to cut and cost way less too.

Another way to make a saving is to take out all the copper pipe, replace it with PVC pipes and sell the copper yourself to the metal yard (I think there is one in Wells Rd, Seaford by memory). That way you recoup some of the initial cost.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks for the reply but I have one more question if I could.

I live in an old house in William St, Frankston just near the football oval and I need to replace my old copper water pipes. Do you have any ideas for me before I start this please? I appreciate any plumbing advise you could give.

Could you give a rough cost of a small bathroom renovation please?
