Dogs will eat grass for different reasons:

These are: Boredom, Nausea (stomach upsets) or just Hunger or dietary deficiency.

Generally the main reason is to alleviate stomach irritations such as nausea.
The grass stimulates vomiting / regurgitation, which cleans out and hopefully removes the cause of the irritation.
A healthy bright dog that occasional eats grass and vomits is not a serious problem only if the condition of the dog is deteriorating should you get your dog examined by the Vet. Also watch for loss of appetite and more vomiting.
Some dogs eat grass because they are hungry and there is nothing else to eat.
Dogs that are overweight look for food all of the time, so if you do have your dog on a reducing diet this may become a problem. Make sure the meals you are feeding are nutritious and satisfying.
Add more RAW MEATY BONES to the dogs’ diet to combat this problem.
These dogs also are bored so eating becomes a habit.

Keep your dog entertained and trained so its mind is preoccupied with learning and not eating.
